Margret snuggled closer to her husband. He was fast asleep, snoring slightly, but that was not the reason she was unable to sleep. She guessed she was unable to sleep because he was lying there. Her Albert was home so seldom, she'd become used to the large bed being mostly empty.

This was done for a friend on Facebook: his unnamed airborne Imperial Guard regiment. The bull-pup lasgun was his idea.

As they have no name, I decided to call them the "Northcottian Sky-dragons".
I think it fits

So, the design and all belongs to Mike Northcott. Apart from the basic Imperial Guard design, which belongs to Games Workshop Ltd.

Very nice - but a few points:

I feel there's a bit too much redundant space around the dragon and banners on the insignia - though I like the design itself.

The bull-pup Las is good too - but the combat knife seems a bit stubby.

But overall - good job

I was sort of in lack of ideas for the combat knife, to be honest. Sort of imagined it closer to a Roman pugio than a Tanith stright silver, for some reason.

The insignia: Well, maybe so. Can be changed in the future, and refined, no doubt. This was all done in ball-point pen, so making changes now is a bit hard

Changes is what photoshop (Or the equivalent) is for

Just make the separate pieces layers, shrink down the diamond a little and move them all a bit closer

Well there's only so much design goes into a pointy bit of metal to be honest - but I just mentioned it as in terms of it's use as an effective CQC weapon or bayonet it seemed a little short

Incidentally; I am fabricating a replica US Marine Corps K-bar combat knife at the moment and will post photos once I've finished it

nice that you remembered that light infantry don't get much armour

I hashed the armour details out with Mike, who I did this for. That helps ironing out any misunderstandings.
