Gustaf Mitternacht. The Lion of Midnight. The Art of War.

Unlike that other characters of the Heaven and Hell Saga, Mitternacht is not one person alone. In a way similar to Speer once he ends up in Hell, Mitternacht is a gestalt-entity. He is a conglomerate of many people. Specifically the most prolific generals and marshals through human history.

Mitternacht is a good fighter, though far from as brutal and powerful as Bela is. Mitternacht relies on his brain and formulates strategies to beat his enemies through the minimum amount of effort.

He's a calcaulating individual, but he is far from cold. His element is fire and he always takes the form of a biped lion-man.

King Gustavus Adolphus II was the ruler of Sweden 1594-1632. By most Swedes he is remembered as the warrior-king and remains the greatest of them all.

He died in the battle of Lützen, having become seperated from his bodyguard unit he rode into a mist and was overrun by enemy soldiers. Shot down from his horse he was then stabbed to death by swords.
